Plain English: we collect as little as we can, we tell you why, and we never sell your data. This page explains exactly what happens when you use ishaanexdigital.com or any of our SEO tools.

Who we are

IshaanEx Digital is an AI-powered SEO, web design, and automation agency based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. The founder — Harman Chahal — is the designated privacy officer for this site.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to make the site and the tools work.

  • Contact form submissions: name, email, phone, message. Used only to reply to you.
  • Tool account email: when you log in to a paid tool with a magic link, we store your email address and a hashed login token. That's it.
  • Tool usage records: when you run a scan, we store the input (e.g. keyword + location) and the result so you can re-view it later. Deleted after 24 months of account inactivity.
  • Payment details: we never see or store your credit card. All payments go through Lemon Squeezy, which is our Merchant of Record. They handle the card details and tax compliance.
  • Anonymous analytics: we use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. It just counts visits.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to you when you contact us.
  • To log you in to paid tools and show you your scan history.
  • To process credit pack purchases (via Lemon Squeezy).
  • To know how many people visit the site (via Plausible — no personal data).
  • To send you occasional SEO tips, only if you tick the marketing opt-in box. You can unsubscribe in one click from any email.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to run the tools:

  • Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and tax handling. Subject to their privacy policy.
  • Resend — sends the magic-link login email and tool result delivery emails. Email + the email content only.
  • DataForSEO — when you run a scan, we send the keyword and location to DataForSEO to fetch live Google data. No personal information is sent.
  • OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity — for the AI Search Checker tool only, we send your brand name and search prompts. No personal information.
  • Cloudflare — hosts the API that runs the tools. Standard request logging.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Ever.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form messages: 24 months, then deleted.
  • Tool accounts + scan history: 24 months of inactivity, then deleted.
  • Payment records: kept for 7 years (Canadian tax law).
  • Marketing newsletter list: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • See what data we have about you.
  • Correct any data that is wrong.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Stop receiving marketing emails (also one-click from any email).

Email ishaanexdigital@gmail.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days, as required by PIPEDA.

Marketing emails (CASL)

We only send marketing emails to people who explicitly opt in by ticking a box at signup. The box is always unchecked by default. Transactional emails (your scan results, receipts, password reset) are not marketing and are sent without an opt-in, as allowed under CASL.

Every marketing email includes:

  • Our business name (IshaanEx Digital) and Abbotsford BC address.
  • A one-click unsubscribe link.

Cookies

This site does not use tracking cookies. Plausible Analytics is cookieless. We do use a small amount of browser local storage (not a cookie) to remember things like whether you have already seen a tool's explainer popup so it does not show again.

Security

All connections to ishaanexdigital.com and to our tool API (api.ishaanexdigital.com) are HTTPS-only. Login tokens are hashed. API keys for DataForSEO and other services live only on our server and are never exposed to your browser. If a security breach ever affects you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if anything material changes about what we collect or how we use it. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. Significant changes will also be emailed to anyone with a tool account.
